You can set up a pause for your membership from next month at any time. All you need to do is log in to our website and pause your membership under the tab "Your account".
A pause can last between one and six whole months and is only possible in the cycle of your membership month. You can set up a pause for your next membership month at least one day before the start of the next membership month.
Example: Let's say your membership starts on January 17, so it renews on the 17th of each month. Today is March 15, which means you can request a pause from March 17, which would end on April 17 at the earliest.
Frequently asked questions about a pause
Will I be charged for the month/months on pause?
No, during the time your membership is paused, you will not be charged; however, if you decide to cancel your pause and deactivate it immediately, we will charge you the full fee that day, in addition to your fee due on your membership renewal date. Please check this article for more information: How can I end or alter my pause?
What should I do if I am sick/injured for more than six months?
If you are unfortunately ill or injured for a long-term period, exceeding the 6-month pause, we recommend you request the cancellation by following our 3-day notice cancellation policy before your next month's membership renews. Find more information here: What happens if I cancel my membership when it is on pause? - then you can reactivate and choose a new start day: How can I reactivate my membership?
What if I’m pregnant?
Congratulations! In this case, it's best to request the cancellation of your membership, as you’ll be able to reactivate it in the future when you're ready to return to the sports world. If you have an annual membership or a corporate contract with a year contract, you can open a ticket through our contact form so that we can make an exception to cancel your membership. We’ll ask for some proof of your status—just cross out any sensitive information, and you're good to go!
For corporate members:
If you are signed up through a special tariff with your employer or health insurance, there may be differences in the pause rules. Some types of company-sponsored membership tariffs can only be paused after the initial contract length of 12 months has passed. If you do not see the option to pause your membership as described above in your profile, it is not possible yet for you to set up the pause.
