If your membership is suspended because of a failed payment (for example, insufficient funds in your bank account when we tried to charge you or an issue with your registered payment method), you'll need to update the payment method or add funds to your account to reactivate it. Once your payment method is updated, we'll automatically try to collect any pending fees.

Reactivation according to your payment method:

Debit/Credit Card: If we find a problem with your payment and can’t process your membership fee, we’ll notify you by email. You'll have 5 business days to update your payment method or add funds to your bank account. During this time, we'll keep trying to collect the payment, but if we can’t, your membership will be suspended.
- PayPal: If you have a balance in your PayPal account at the time of the charge and the option to use it is enabled, we’ll deduct from your balance first and any remaining amount if the balance doesn’t cover the full fee.

SEPA Direct Debit - Only available for existing members in Germany (not for new members or reactivation):
If you return a charge or issue a chargeback through your bank’s app or request a refund for a previously paid membership fee, the charge will be canceled, and we'll suspend your account within 5 days of the refund request. To reactivate your account, you’ll need to make a bank transfer.If this happens, we’ll send you a message with the amount and the bank account details for the transfer.
To check if your membership is suspended, go to the settings menu in your app, select “My Membership,” and look at the “Status.” Alternatively, you can log in to your member profile on our website. If the status shows "Suspended," we suggest checking if you have a valid payment method or enough funds to cover your membership fee(s).
What happens if I don’t update my payment method and my membership stays suspended?
If after several attempts we’re still unable to collect your pending membership fee, your membership will be canceled at the end of the current billing cycle and all unpaid membership fees will be invoiced to you.
Can I cancel my membership if it's suspended?
You can't request a cancellation if your membership is suspended. The cancel button won't be available until you've paid any outstanding fees and regained the option to cancel. If you believe this is an error and you should be able to cancel even with your membership suspended, please fill out our contact form and explain the reasons.
How long does it take to reactivate my suspended membership after updating my payment method or adding credit to my account?

Bank transfer: If you made a bank transfer, our Finance team will need to reactivate your account manually. This process may take 2 to 4 business days.

Card or bank balance update: If you added funds to your bank account or updated/added a new credit or debit card, your membership should reactivate almost immediately. Under normal conditions (sufficient balance, active card, etc.), this typically occurs within 15 minutes after completing the action.

PayPal payment method: If you added or updated your PayPal account as a payment method, your membership should also reactivate the same day you made the update.
If your membership is not reactivated within the specified timeframe, check that your payment method is correct or that the transfer has been processed successfully. If everything is in order and your membership remains suspended, please open a ticket through our contact form.
