To check in at a studio, you must scan the partner’s QR code using the Urban Sports Club app.
Important: You won’t be able to check in if your membership is not "active". This includes statuses like:

Initialized

Paused
-
Awaiting Company Approval

Suspended
-
Cancelled
In these cases, you may see error messages such as "Something went wrong" or "Wrong membership status."
Below are common check-in issues and how to resolve them:
- What if I forget my mobile phone or my phone is not working?
- What if I don’t show up or cancel too late?
- What if I cannot check in due to exceeded check-in limits?
- A black screen appears when you try to scan the QR code
- The app is very slow and/or stalls
- An error message is displayed
- You haven’t received a link for your live (online) class
📱 What if I forget my phone or it doesn’t work?
Your phone is your entry pass. If you forget it, or if it’s broken or out of battery, you won’t be able to check in or join the class.
👉 A €5 late cancellation fee will apply in this case.
❌What if I don’t show up or cancel too late?
When you don’t show up, we still compensate the partner studio for your reserved spot.
Please cancel on time to free the spot for other members.

You can find each partner’s cancellation policy in their profile in the app.
🚫What if I cannot check in due to exceeded check-in limits?
Make sure to stay within your membership’s usage limits.
For example, in Germany, you can only check in once per day.
If you’ve reached your limit:
You have two options:

Still want to join the class?
If the studio allows it, you can pay for a drop-in directly with them based on their prices.
We won’t charge the late cancellation fee—but make sure to contact us via our Help Center to avoid it. -
Don’t want to join?
A €5 late cancellation fee applies.
This is because a booking was made—either through our app or by contacting the partner directly.
🖤 A black screen appears when scanning the QR code
Check your phone’s settings and make sure the app has permission to access the camera:

Go to Settings > Urban Sports Club > Allow Camera Access

Reopen the app and try scanning again
🐌 The app is slow or unresponsive

Check your internet connection

Make sure you have the latest app version

Visit the App Store or Google Play to update if needed

⚠️ An error message is displayed:
Make sure your membership status is active. You can check this by logging into the website—your status appears next to your profile picture.
If your membership is active, also confirm:

You haven’t exceeded your monthly check-in limit

The partner accepts your membership type

Didn’t get the email? No worries!
Go to your profile and open your schedule. There, click:
“Check in to livestream” to join the class directly.
📌 Make sure the activity is actually a live online class. These are marked with an orange “Live” tag. On-site classes won’t offer this button.
